A Milestone Achieved: Celebrating 1000+ Citations in AI/ML Research
I'm taking this opportunity to anonymously share a personal achievement. Finally, my research has surpassed 1000 citations! Woohoo! My field of study is AI/ML.
Reflections on the Journey
While I acknowledge that there are many more accomplished researchers out there and that citation count doesn't fully represent one's capabilities, for me, this milestone feels like a reward for years of perseverance.
The Path of Dedication
Over the past five years, I've dedicated myself to research without taking a single day off. Even when my friends were out exploring during my time in the United States, I remained in the lab, studying. My commitment extended to weekends at the office, even during internships at big tech companies.
Recognizing Personal Strengths
This journey has helped me recognize my strengths. While I may not be the most brilliant, I'm certainly among the most diligent and persistent. As my respected undergraduate professor once said:
"If you're not the smartest, at least have the stamina to study longer than others."
Moving Forward
With this moment of pride shared, it's time to maintain balance. Today, I'm heading to the gym for some squats.
